Deep sea fishing
The possibility of an exciting deep sea and fiord fishing here in Steigen is great. The West fjord is located just outside the archipelago of Engeløya Island, and finding a good fishing spot is easy. Cod, saithe, tusk, redfish, mackerel and of course halibut are the most common types of fish in this area. March/April is the high season when it comes to catching cod/skrei.
Boats
We have 8 Kvaernoe, 20,5 ft. aluminum boats with 60 hp Yamaha motors for rent. They are equipped with 9" ecco sounding, GPS, steering console, rod holders and electrical starting system. The boats are located in docks at Røssøy harbour. You can buy petrol directly from us. Each boat is intended for six people, however we recommend only three - four people when fishing.
At arrival all new guests will be guided on the sea to get to know the boats, the equipment and where it's safe to drive. The prices for renting boats will vary depending of the length of the rental period.

Steigen Brygge can offer accommodation in 4 seahouses in fantastic surroundings in Røssøy harbor, Engeløy island in Steigen. With a great view over the Lofoten mountains and all the small islands and skerries.
The cabins are fully equipped with stove, dishwasher, refrigerator, freezer, washing machine, TV, radio, DVD, wireless internet and wood stove. The seahouses have a living room with kitchen, 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms with shower. Each sea house has 6 beds with the possibility of 2 extra beds. Bed linen and towels are provided. Rental rates for a sea house will vary according to how many people and how many days you want to rent.

In the winter time Engeløya Island is the perfect place to experience the wonders of the northern lights. Steigen is located above the Arctic circle where the northern lights can appear in different colours and shapes on a clear winter night.
